Can We Have It All?

Southwest Hydrology and Arizona Hydrological Society
jointly present

2007 Regional Water Symposium

Welcome to the first symposium hosted jointly by the Arizona Hydrological Society and Southwest Hydrology. In recognition of the 20th anniversary of AHS’s annual symposia, AHS sought to expand the 2007 meeting into a larger, more regional event. Southwest Hydrology, in turn, wished to provide an opportunity for readers across the Southwest to discuss today’s most pressing water issues in person. The partnership allowed AHS to take advantage of Southwest Hydrology’s broad reach and for Southwest Hydrology to benefit from AHS’s years of experience in organizing successful symposia. The result is a program full of distinguished speakers who will address the increasingly contentious debate between those who want to maintain a sustainable water supply and those who want to maintain the economic engine of growth.
